Still tuning, but hopefully in a month or so I will be really happy with it. Just waiting on jets for the carb.

Great picture!

Now, I have a question. In my engine bay, on top of the motor, there are quite a few plugs not connected to anything in the area I circled on the last picture. What are those for?

Oh and my air filter looks very similar and the carb set-up as well...is this the stock Nikki carb? Looking at pictures, my carb doesn't look anything like it....looks more like this...maybe I'm looking at it wrong, or maybe I'm just clueless when it comes to carburators. Help! Hehe I need to figure out what it is so I can get a rebuild kit.

I've been trying to post a picture of mine for 2 days now, wtf is up? You don't need anything other than the OEM hood liners, imo.

Most people don't keep the engine as clean as the outside, and the whole engine bay looks bad as a result. If you take the time to clean it once in a while it should look like this:

Yes. I put it in at the same time than my K&N filter, and the combo gave me a noticeable power gain.

I've been wondering about that setup too. Just how noticeable and when?

I'm thinking I should get something out of it since I'm running headers and free'd up exhaust...

Noticeable enough that you know you are not imaging it. It happens especially on the 2nd half of the rpm band. Yes you should definitely feel it if you have a free flowing exhaust but have done no mod to improve intake.

jason_child: there is a 4-5 inches hexagonal rod that bolts on the stock thread and has a thread on the other end for the wing nut. Comes with the kit.

well what you were looking at was a 12A bridgeport with a 48IDA Webber. The stock nikki sits a lot lower and flows a lot less.

the plugs your talking about sound like the emissions gear... well its pretty obvious i dont have it (yay for no smog laws). if the car runs fine then i wouldnt bother... maybe look at taking it off. Theres a few how to's on removing the 'rats nets'

hope that helped

Thats just a bad pic of mine. I think I'm going to shoot some black paint on anything I can so it looks cleaner. But in person it doesn't look that bad. Must be the camera.

I'm currently not driving the car, so I think I will do some painting.
