please help!!! been searching for hours!

85 SE, no spark leading or trailing. no tach signal. tried to change the ignitors to the GM ones, still no spark!! maybe coils? or is there anything else i should be checking ? no power to coils!!! all fuses are good. fusible links have been swapped to newer style ones. this is driving me nuts and starting to cost alot of money!!! new rotor cap plugs n wires as well. before it died completely was chugging and running like **** once warm! ran fine when cold and now wont start!

HELP ME!!!!

do your dash lights come on. elec to coils should come from the ignition so check that system out. simple trouble shooting start simple work up but its probably somthing simple you have over looked thats what happens to me

The Engine fusible link is directly connected to the electrical system in 3 places with a heavy gauge White/red wire. Alternator, ignition switch and the fuse box. Does the fuse still blow if you unplug the alternator? Don't let the unplugged wire touch ground.

Everytime I've had a weird electrical problem that involved different gadgets it was caused by a bad ground connection, usually the battery ground. Cleanup the ODs of the battery terminals and the IDs of the clamp-on connectors with a wirebrush. $4 at the autostore.
