please help. Another stupid newbie question

I am in the process of removing the rats nest on my 85 GSL. I am using this tutorial http://maz_tutorials.ten15.net/Tutorial_1.pdf and am stuck on page 21. Where is the darned throttle opener? I got my carb from rotor-motor and am not really sure what all is gone..LOL Nice looking carb!!!! I can't for the life of me figure this mystery out and need a RX-7 master to show me the light.

Thanks!

please help. Another stupid newbie question-lmtzc.jpg

its only used to increase the throttle when the A/C is on.... most people throw it away along with there A/C... hope this helps..

I live in TX and its a necessity to have A/C on your daily driver. SO even thought i disabled all of my rats nest, and all my emission equipment my A/C works on my car so i kept that particular one on there

Thank you for the reply. I live in NC and A/C is a must in the humid summer here. I just don't have it on the new carb I have now. What should I do??? Just block of vaccum and pretend it isn't there or take it off my old carb and put it back on??

if your going to use your ac, youll need the solenoid that turns it on, and the throttle opener. and give it vaccum. its easy to hook back up. just pull the pin out of the linkage and take it off the old carb. and hook it back up the same on the new one.

but you could also just turn you idle up so when its on it wont idle all crappy at a light and stall on you... but you MPG will goto trash and it will idle high all the time.

I have a quick question:

How does the throttle opener work with a Dell'Orto?

It's the black purge valve beside the white solenoid on rats nest that I need. Mine seems to be working but I had to glue it and that bothers me.
