What is the best way to bolt the 87 t2 tranny into my FB without welding in new mounts?? Thanks for any help!

No welding needed.
Just a need to change the shift tower,shorten the shift shaft and change to an aftermarket light TII flywheel/auto counterweight.The stock crossmember will work with a little massaging and some spacers to push it down.
Driveshaft will also have to be modified or custom made, depending on how you approach it.

 

In my experience with tube frame race cars, I have noticed that your setup sucks. Get a dogbox transmission and be done with it. Hire a personal mechanic if you need to ask help for a simple S4 tranny swap, amature. No, dont hire one, he will quit when he sees all the half assed **** you have done.

 

dude, kill yourself your a burden to the gene pool. S4 tranny into an FB that's an entirely different bodystyle, it might not fit, it's a perfectly fine question being asked. WHY THE **** WOULD SOMEONE RUN A DOG BOX IN A STREET CAR? Do you even know what makes a dog box different? Or did you just read it somewhere and spit it out as soon as you heard transmissions mentioned?
