Please check my math

O.k., just got my car on the road, and it seems, well, FAST!!!

I got the following numbers while driving:

3500 rpm = 120 kph
3800 rpm = 130 kph
4000 rpm = 140 kph

I have a GSL-SE trans hooked to a GSL rear end:

5th gear = 0.758
Final Drive = 3.909

So, doing the math:

3500 RPM / 0.758 / 3.909 = 1181.23 RPM at the wheel

I ride on 185/60/13's, and I measured the rears to be 263.5mm from the ground to the centre of the wheel, so effective radius = 263.5 (theoretical = 276.1). Circumference = 1654.78 mm

So, 1181.23 r/min * 1654.78 mm/r = 1.954676 * 10^6 mm/min = 1.955 km/min = 117.3 km/h

Similarily, 3800 rpm = 127.3 km/h, and 4000 rpm = 134 km/h.

Is my math right? 'Cause if so, I was hella speeding tonight!

No problem, just divide the numbers by 1.6 and you are there!

(I know you was making a joke, but i just had to before someone else did it)

Touched 5k in 5th gear this morning on the way into work. That's 167.5 kph, or slightly more than 100 mile'n'hour.

Theoretical top speed (7000 rpm): 234.5 kph, or 146.6 mph.

I'm going to have to look and see if my speedo has the km/hr on it, I'm always looking the the mph because that what we get the tickets for down here in the red states.
