!!PIX!! 90% done with plumbing on the TurboII swap.

Yay for spring! Its 45F outside and just warm enough to start working on the car, and I got right too it. All sorts of goodies dropped off from Summit Racing and LMS-EFI.com this week.

Got 90% of my engine bay plumbing finished. Redid the fuel feed and distribution block, as I was concerned on engine movement loosening a line. Fitted turbo oil drain. Installed the new Clutch Master and Slave with a new hardline and Stainless hose. Also fitted Vacuum for the Booster, with a Buick Enclave check valve (more slavaged parts from my daily grind as a GM tech. Ran a hardline and fitted the vacuum source and wastegate. Still need to run the Tial 50mm BOV line. Fuel return fittings to the Fuel cell still need to be made.

Next step is to finish up mounting the fuel injectors, finish the throttle body mods, and fit the throttle cable. After that its LOTS AND LOTS of WIRING.
American Autowire Power+20 and Haltech SPrintRE, Mercruiser ignition coils, Deutsch connectors and braided wire wrap.

Sweet! A local Turbo FB!!

Mind if I ask what you're running for fuel lines? Still need to plumb mine. And your ECU? - we posted at the same time, Sprint RE for you

Really hope to meet up with you this summer to see the car

Nice work man, looks like a real clean setup. Does the hood fit with the intercooler like that or are you planning on running a big scoop?

6an summit racing brand line and fittings. The intercooler's front edge is level with the hoodline; design is not finallized.

I've been out of the Minnesota scene for a while; what's going on this summer?

I am running the same Sprint RE and the Mercury coils.... works great. I ran a LMS custom wiring harness. The harness was a little costly, but made for a complete plug and play!!

Nothing too crazy, got the coils mounted on the frame, need to fab up some wires once I get the steering gear back in there. Also got the dash off. I saved the blower circuits, but realized that I cut the connector off by accident, oops. I also likely cut out and threw away part of the wiper circuit without knowing it. In retrospec I would have pulled that too to make wiring the car easier. So if anyones got an 82 Dash harness handy they want to sell me, let me know.

Anyways, heres some more pics. I will probably start a dedicated thread when I begin wiring this thing and go through it step by step as best I can. It will start with dedicated harness' for the coils and injectors.

also, if anyone can identify whats in the last pic, you win the internets

Looks like a battery pack from a Volt.

Your engine bay looks hella clean. Great work!

yeah, its from a Volt. The bullshit recall after that crash test fire (which was bullshit). This was one of the straglers. We were doing 15 of these a day for a while, but this is the first I had seen in a month. WE pull them and put in this guard thing and reinstal. We also put a lock on the the battery cooling system cap to keep customers from messing with it.

Volts are great cars btw if anyone is interested in getting one.

Sweet, thanks for sharing the fuel line. Still deciding what I'll run in mine.

This summer in MN...well if it ever comes I'd assume Cars and Coffee would be a nice meet to have some mint first gens at, as well as any other rotary powered vehicle, MN Mazda meets would be cool, and MN Garage Geeks have a few 7 members that are wanting me to come down and hang in the cities. So enough meets to have almost one a weekend to bring the cars to - its just finding time to go and someone to go with that I've met and like haha

If you're in the MN area and want to chill send me a PM and we can hang out when I'm not already doing something, which is like 10% of the time I'm mot sleeping

Cars and Coffee is something I've wanted to check out for a while. Alas, my car will likely not be on the road till later in the summer or even fall. But Im still looking to get aquanted with the local Seven community.

I was part of Northstar Rotaries back in the day, and showed with them at the JJ Hills event in wayzata some years back.
