I used the sleeves in a friends car, and i just dont see how they destroyed your engine. They are semi circular the way they fit and i just dont see how they made it into your engine. We are still using them and its been like almost a year.

~I am not aware of any body under payroll of/ or at Atkins by the name of Bruce. Bruce Turrentine makes a video that we sell as an AID ONLY AND WE HAVE A DISCLAMER NOTE ON THE BOX . The disclamer says "PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VIDEO WAS INTENDED AS AN AID TO REBUILD YOUR ROTARY ENGINE . YOU SHOULD BE CONSULTING YOUR MAZDA FACTORY MANUAL FOR OTHER SPECIFICATIONS AS NEEDED . ATKINS ROTARY IS SELLING THIS TO YOU AS AN AID AND MAY OR MAY NOT ADVISE SOME OF THE PROCDEURES SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO ." ATKINS ROTARY does and has NEVER put liquid metal or devcon in the intake ports !!!!

I just dont see how the insert could get pulled in. ?? Its shaped as a barrell like the tube. Mabe some were different, but the ones we got from pineaple, it is a physical impossibility for the inserts to get sucked in. The diameter of the insert was greater than that of the opeding in the sleeve.

Somebody didn't read the threads posted above.

The sleeves themselves do not come out. They get loose, beating back and forth against the actuator rods. This eventually causes the rods come out, and get sucked into the engine.

I read that part, but i thought that the original person that posted with the blown engine, stated that the wole insert somehow got sucked in. I have no argument about the possibility of te rods getting sucked in.

My bad, I, at the time of the event, was unclear and indeed thought that the sleeves got in the engine.
Not true, the sleeves came loose and banged on the actuator rods, causing THEM to get into the engine.
Sorry for the confusion!

No big deal on the confusion , and I have nothing on the net sending me info on these things I look on here at work because I have no pc @ home .
That is not the first time someone has asked that , and we tell everybody we just sell his video.
And there are no hard feelings here, and when I have nothing to do between tec calls and taking orders I look for tech ?s on the forum .

I have used the "liquid fake metal ****" in 3 of my engines (different cars!) over the past 8 years and have never had a problem with them. The key is in preparation which many poor fools don't do enough of. Do not ever under any circumstance use JB Weld in an engine. Devcon is some damn fine **** when used properly.

Only solution I can come up with is to not use them.

Ours were enough of an intereference fit that they pressed in and were held securely. No longer need the pins.

Tap a countersunk hole into them from the base of the sleeve and screw them to the sleeve.

If you pull them out and pull the pins, then just lock tite the inserts and the sleeves in. That should hold the insert and then remove the pins. Leave the ports open all the time.

The first link didn't mention the insert coming loose. It said the WHOLE sleeve backed out of the side housing.

pineapple racing blows *** rob golden is just a lame *** who tries to reinvent the wheel when it comes engines he builds if you think Im makeing it up call him (if pineapple would pick up the phone) and ask about the LOOP LINE oil Mod he sells. I didnt know the rotory engine had oil problems and needed a LOOP LINE. mazdas been doing it for 40 years robbie golden 20 years. Dont you think mazda would have a loop line if there was a oil pressure problem with the engines or is robbie trying to make a fast buck on bullshit mod like 6 port sleeves and loop lines that he has never actually test or even fit on a rotory.
