A-pillar gauges?

Hey all. Does anyone know if there is a place where we can get a-pillar gauge mounts for the 1st gens?

If if you want to get really choosy, how about red?

If not, has anyone found another car that will work with a little "modifications?"

Pop over to Mazspeed.com. An order is going together over there.

VDO makes the first gen A-pillar pods or....... The 88-91 crx Autometer pods fit beautifully on mine. The autometer pods seem easier to find though.

The only listing on www.autometer.com that I could find for anything close to a CRX was an 88-91 Civic. Wouldnt that be the same thing seeing as those years were considered a "Civic CRX" anyway? They even have the triple gauge pod for that listing that I want . I really hope thats what you got, Jimmy54. Or did you order something that specifically said "CRX"? Please let me know, as I have been looking for something I can use up there that come in triple form

~T.J.

Edit - I just found the "Honda 2 & 3 Door Civic/CRX" for 88-91, and they only make them up to the double gauge pod . Oh well, maybe I can just get this one, then add a single later, cause there may not actually be room for all three anyway...Ill have to research some more.

Edit Again - I just found some carbon fiber look alike pods for the 88-91 CRX . Just what I need, carbon fiber. Can you say "rice" . More importantly, I also found some "right hand drive" pods for the 88-91 CRX. Maybe I could throw some gauges on the other A-Pilar so I can get all the gauges that I want in my car, and be kinda original at the same time. Seeing as how I dont have to "read" the gauge, I just have to see needle position, I bet it would work .

Just checked the box and they are CRX 88-91
I have a double pod at the momment and I have a single pod lying around from before. I did once try and see if both would fit and they did. Kinda high for my taste but could be very easily done. You could also bondo/fiberglass them together but I don't think you'd need too. Besides they stores usually have those pods in stock, ask them if you can try it out. Thats what I did in order to find the crx pod.

If you have the late style dash, pop out the clock and glue gun a pod there. Thats what I did for the air fuel guage.
