Picture request. gsl-se on 16x7F, 16x8"R

Hey guys, just joined the boards and been thinking of getting a GSL-SE. I have a vision of what I'd want the car to look like and I was wondering if anyone had a picture of one that was pretty close to it to give me some motivation. I already looked through the pictures threads and couldn't really find what I had in mind..

So here's what I'm looking for:

black or gray gsl-se on 16x7 front and 16x8 rear wheels, preferrably something mesh with a bit of lip. I have a set of Volk wheels I'd be putting on my car with these specs and want to see what it'd look like.

Or any pictures of really low (I know this is bad for the rear suspension) FBs will do. I just need some motivation to sell my 240sx and start looking for one of these cars.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry to say this, but those 8" wide rears wouldn't fit. You would have the tire rubbing on the rear quarter panel when the suspension compressed enough. NOw, if you had 7" rears, They might fit. Otherwise, you would need either fender flares or a widebody kit. You also have to consider the backspace, bolt pattern, offset and things like that.

16x8, 35mm offset, and 4 x 114.3 bolt pattern is what I have. Fronts are 16x7, also 35mm offset, and I know those will fit perfectly on an FB. I'd be running about 2 degrees of negative camber up front anyway.

I'm not afraid to roll/pull rear fenders. Coming from the 240sx world where people are obsessed with running super low offset wheels with negative camber and fender mods to fit them, this is almost no issue for me.

Thanks for the advice though.

if your gonna run 16x7 you need 205 or 215 tires with 45 of side wall in other words 205/45 16 because if you run 50's the tires are gonna rub on the fender everytime you hit a bump and makes the car higher too if your planning to get 16x8 max tire is 225/45 16 ill refer 40s so it give me clearance im planning to get 16x7 on the front and 8 on the back too but i dont know when ill buy them so give yuan idea

Plenty of aussie cars run upto 17x8 with 235s in the back. Just make sure the offset is perfect. If the car is lowered (which is should be ) then you may or may not have to persuade the gaurds to accept the wheels. This sould be as simple as bending the inside lip up so it doesn't rub.

It's all about the offset.

That's my car in the picture above. The 7.5" width is so close to rubbing that I think anything wider would definately rub.

Maybe if the offset was perfect, but I don't know what it would have to be for 8" wide rims so they wouldn't rub the struts in the front...

Here's mine on 16x7 on all 4. 205/45-16. You can go wider in the rear, but unless you're putting down a lot higher than stock horsepower there's no real reason to. Handleing is already neutral...

I've talked to you via AIM, those are the exact wheels I'm looking at. So they need to be 205/45? Anything larger will rub on bumps?
And just for opinions, does everyone think the rims like on RX7GSLSE's car would look good on a black GSL-SE?

heh, yeah got it all sorted out and finally got around to taking some new pretty pictures.

That last picture was taken the night after I installed teh front coil overs a year and a half ago or so... (and with them just about as low as possible)

The other pictures were taken more recently with the front raised a tad and the rear dropped on adjustable perches fron http://www.iscracing.net/products.htm

Anyway... Yeah, 205 is about as wide as you can run up front in that diameter. If you have a soft suspension, you'll be more apt to rub than if you have a stiffer one. I could rub on hard turns with the front perches set real low so I raised them (hit the inner fender on the front side when turning & braking) if you pushed the wheels out (lower offset) a hair or two, you might be able to run a bit lower, or if I ever get around to installing the front bar sitting in the garage..

There is space for 4.5" backspace wheels in the rear for sure, possibly even 5" backspace. If you can find someone to make 8" wide wheels in the offsets you require you wouldn't have a problem getting them under the fender in the rear. Although, it's not going to be a standard size, so plan on $$

Any other questions, just lemme know...
