Pics of the Turd
Here's one picture anyway, more when I figure out how to post more than one photo.
1985 GSL, all stock and everything works. Daily driver, 110 miles/day; 24-25 mpg, mostly cruising at 80 mph. Just turned over 150,000 miles, the last 10,000 since I bought it in July on ebay ($1,600) to replace my 84 GSL, which was rear ended. I have added the leather seats, better wheels and other trim parts from my other GSL, a radio shack power antenna, a new radiator, new ignition parts and a set of Yokohama touring tires. Several vacuum leaks have been found and fixed and a new accelerator pump put in. Body work includes a new windshield and paint job (done just before I got it) and a repair of some not too serious bin rust spots (I'll post the photos for the bin rust repair if I have some success with the present ones).
It runs very well, especially nice at highway speed with the new tires. It has been completely reliable and lots of fun for my daily commute. Best of all I get to drive it year round, with the mild winters here in NE Ga. Snow? Suffer you New Englanders, I was once one.
I do all the work myself and learn as I go, which is why I ask so many stupid questions. This, for example, is the car with the mysterious rising engine oil level.
