Pics of my SA

Snapped some pics at the Lexington SCCA Autocross between running, working, and dodging rain. Still more work to be done, but it is finally getting in order.

The silver 1st gen beside mine in the first and last pics is CrazyJoe12A's car. The 3rd gen is my brother-in-law's car.

Lookin' good man, wish mine looked that nice. Gotta q for you.... how hard was taking that rubber strip off of your front and rear bumpers? I was thinking of doing the same to mine, but is the surface smooth underneath? Or are there holes to fill?

Thanks for the compliments. There are several small holes in both the front and rear bumper for the brackets that hold the rubber strips that will have to be filled. Plus, there are four large holes (1 1/2" diameter) in the rear for access to the bolts that hold the brackets for the bumper's shocks as well.(Dunno why... more than easy enough to get the sockets on them from behind the bumper) Paint and body work were just performed this past week. My neighbor had decided to park his car on my front fender, so he got to pick up part of the tab. I decided to take off the side moldings, and then wanted to carry that idea to the front and rear as well.

No, I didn't put the black moldings back on. They were pretty nasty after 22 years. Since I was not having them reinstalled or replaced, I decided I didn't want the rubstrips on the bumpers either.

The wheels are 15X7" Panasports with 205/50-15 tires. With the eibach springs in it, the tires were a little wide in the front and I had to roll the fender lips to accomodate them. Before anyone asks, yes, those are two different centercaps between front and back. The front are two out of four wheels that my wife bought on partstrader from Domenic in CT. Unfortunately, his like new and everyone else in the worlds like new are not the same. We found an auction for two more on ebay and got those to replace the busted rims he sent. I keep hoping for two more to show up there, so I can have one complete set of the same series wheels. If anyone has two to sell....

Hey Mike, the rust was there up until a week ago. It was primarily located in the bottom of the rear quarters behind the wheels. It has gone byebye now though.

Wow, i can't believe my car got the compliment while sitting next to James'

The view from the rear of the car is MUCH better than the front, need a new fender and hood

Oh well, I might not have looked better, but at least I ran faster than James that day!!
