Man that looks good but scary! Its the side seals that would concern me with that port.

I agree with you Latin. It's hard to say from the picture but in picture 4 it appears that the port opens so early that there could possibly be an issue with the side seals not having any support. On the other hand, pictures can sometimes be deceiving.

half of the seal is hanging on the air when it goes thru that opening. that would be enough support for the seal.

"Half hanging in the air" been drawn into the engine at 8500 rpm isn't going to be pretty.

I've experimented with lots of different porting configurations over the years. Some have worked well and some have bordered on disastrous. You never know for sure until you button it up and try it out. I'm wishing you luck!

I have heard that champhering the housing for a smooth landing of the side seal can work for that type of port. What I mean is if the port were shaped so the side seal first landed towards it's supported bit then had gradual increase in support until the finally the tip landed. This would lessen the potential for a violent collision.

if im not mistaken, to use a rev limiter you have to have a msd6al hooked to the trailing and leading. the reason being that if you have it only hooked to the leading then when it starts trying to limit your revs your trailing is still firing. this will in turn lead to detonation and an apex seal bouncing around your exhaust pipe.

i have an msd 6al, ill straight up trade anyone for a 6a. that is unless you can use a 6al without using the limiter.
