photos of mindtrain and racing beat headers

Here are some photos of the different 13b gsl-se headers. The photos show a mindtrain header, a racing beat road racing header, and a racing beat street header.

There's also a photo of the complete mindtrain 13b gsl-se exhaust system.

Top - Mindtrain
Middle - Racing Beat Road Racing
Bottom - Racing Beat Street header

Left- Mindtrain
Middle - Racing Beat Road Racing
Right- Racing Beat Street header

Might as well add mine to the heap, here's a photo I took this summer while building the Silver One, somehow I ended up with two low mileage RB street headers:

I'll add the presilencer too:

And here's the power pulse muffler, along with the magna flow/borla system I removed to make room for the racing beat

I ran the racing beat systems for many years. I finally found a mindtrain system. It is very well made. It uses most of the stock mounting points. The mindtrain exhaust sounds great. It has a deep bass note as opposed to the tin can sound the racing beat one makes. The mindtrain is a complete system from the block to the mufflers. The racing beat system uses the stock 1 7/8" pipe over the axle. The mindtrain system is 2 1/2" all the way to the mufflers. All the pipes are straight through.

How about some dyno numbers with each of them?

I searched for years to find a complete one for the gsl-se. There seem to be more around for the 12a. I have never had it on the dyno. The three pieces in the middle are presilencers/ resonators, straight through design. The muffler is just two more joined side by side. If you look at the headers, you can see the 6th port actuator tube sticking up on the mindtrain one.

The entire exhaust is like one big resonator

Perfect_circle has a MT system on his car, and I've wanted once ever since I heard it. A totally different sound than the RB kit, lots of testosterone.

I started a thread in the non-tech section to gauge interest in these after I contacted the company that used to distribute them. They said that they'd need a minimum request of 50 parts for each piece of the system before they could restart production. Well, its been a while and I think it was 50. Dig up the thread if you want to know for sure...

This is an MT system from a 12A. I sold it to Ben. He liked it. I thought it was too loud at idle and under the car. Some thinwall pipes in the system I guess. I just prefered the dual pipe Racing Beat 'streetport' system on a 13B because it was quieter at idle and a little louder at open throttle. That's more my flavor.

Maybe the non mindtrain part was the problem. ( the cat section with the air pipe) The full system is heavy duty end to end. No thin wall pieces.
