Like the title says...

I am a bastard about weight and giving up space on the inside of my car, so is it possible that this might fit under my seat of my 84GSL?

Word, that sucks, but i use my bins. I really dont want to give up any space, i can really live without bottom end, but it would have been nice.

after looking at the dimensions, it looks like it may fit. just go out with a tape measure and measure the clearance.

I have an amplifier for my system mounted under my front seat. It is only 1/2 to 3/4's of an inch high but if you look under your seat there is a lot of clearence there. The only issue is the wire that runs between the two seat rails (it un-locks the seat when you lift the seat adjust arm) hangs kind of low. If you have a 5 or 6 inch ruler you should be able to answer your own question by measuring the space you have.

It shouldnt, there is plenty of air there for cooling. However the sound is going to suffer because the bins and surrounding metal will absorb/ reverberate the sound waves. Since its so small, mount it against the passenger side behind the seat above the storage bin, it will be out of the way and hardly noticeable, and won't take up enough space to worry about.

actually, looking at the demensions you could probably mount it on the bit of sheet metal underneath the storage bin doors, directly behind the seat...i have two very similar sized amps mounted the same way...if there is any rattling problems a little bit of R-Blox (or prefered sound deadener) will fix it immediately (obviously this isnt what yours will look like, there should be little doors instead of subs, but it gives you the idea)

I mounted a similar one on top of the storage bin. Works great and massages my back at the same time. The picture I attached shows a CD changer down below. That would also be a good spot for a sub if you don't like the storage bin idea.
