Wow. So, that's what an original white Rex should look like. Mine's too faded. And, outstanding pics of the engine and car. Two thumbs up for the fact that YOU YOURSELF did all the work, and such attention to detail and hard workmanship.
And, as far as exhaust, from what I read, you want Borla because their material inside their mufflers don't melt like Magnaflow's does.

MORE VIDS! Now 100x higher in quality, because we used a real camera, not a cell phone that yells at you in Chinese when you get a text message.

UPDATE TIEM!
A few weeks ago I got hit by some dumb bitch in a Lexus RX300, that made a right turn on red without stopping or looking... wouldn't have effected me at all if she HADN'T MERGED INTO THE LEFT LANE WITHOUT LOOKING!I was going through the intersection in the left lane, and she merged fast without looking, and slammed my car into the curb. Now all of my Panasports are fucked up, side of my car is all scraped, the door wouldn't open, bent tie rods, spindles, leaking steering box, etc. Her insurance company sent me to a Chevrolet dealership to get an estimate done which was $3600 worth of damages, and now her insurance company is trying to jew me out of repair money by offering me $2300. What the ****? This **** is seriously pissing me off, I'm going to go to that dumb bitches house and throw a dry ice bomb at her house to take out some rage. ******* Metlife, **** insurance companies who won't pay for ****, **** bitches that drive Lexuses, **** people that don't pay any god damn attention when they're driving. grrrr...
Now the cars in my garage again in pieces. I'm fixing the fender rust, doing a respeed rack and pinion conversion, Haswell motorsport exhaust (lol), and hopefully a GSL rear end. I'll post some pics of that tomorrow. Here's some pre-accident pics for now, taken at my school (FAU) in the middle of the night like all of my other artsy fartsy pics.

Damn man that sucks hardcore. Tell them you won't take the offer and say they pay the $3600 estimated or you'll drag their company through the mud for insuring incoherent people and screwing innocent people who they rightfully owe. I hate insurance companies too. Yeah you definitely needed to do something with that exhaust, just aweful LOL

As far as exhaust goes, it's almost nonexistent now. I took the rear section off to fix some rust, and took the car out just for kicks... As you know, an uncorked rotary is a beautiful sound, so I drove it around occasionally for the next three days like that.
It's not going back together like it came apart, it's getting the Haswell motorsports treatment, which includes a Borla 40348 muffler, long primaries, a Dumpy tip canister at the end (flat black can, tilted sideways, aussie style), and all stainless mandrel bent piping.

I know that there have been a few other members who've had problems with insurance companies when they got hit. IIRC, they did some research and sent some letters to the insurance companies of the hitter and was able to get the money that they rightfully deserve.
And, that's a damn shame, too. That 7 is beautiful.

I may just take the $2300. I can still buy the Re-Speed Rack and Pinion kit, and a parts GSL with that. I was planning on painting my car in the future anyway, and I know how to do bodywork.
IF ANYONE HAS AN 84-85 GSL FOR SALE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
I need a parts car, it can have a blown motor and be a complete rust bomb... It just needs to have GSL brakes, suspension, Rear end, and maybe fenders and bumpers.

Thanks for the support guys. It's funny, as soon as I get the car up in the air, interior out of the car, bumpers off, all rust knocked off (holes in fenders now ), my back siezes up, and the car gets pushed out of the garage by someone else so that the new clean cars can go in and not get dirty. Goddamnit, why is my back doing this at 18?
The car is far from dead, the blond woman's husband was trying to tell me that it wasn't that bad, and how most of the scratches should buff out. Man is that ******* in for a shock when his insurance goes up.
So I just went to download the initial crash pics from my camera, and someone deleted them. So I went out and took some more. Keep in mind that this is after I reworked the fender and formed it back into it's original shape, now the door can open. Thinking about it now, the exterior damage really isn't that bad, but it's the suspension damage that is the bad and expensive part. There is currently no fluid in my steering box, because during the couple of weeks after the accident it was busy pissing it's contents all over my garage floor. It's Re-Speed for sure now.
I also took pics of the rust I was planning on fixing over the Christmas break. I'm going to cut away the damaged metal, and form patches from the appropriate gauge sheet metal, and weld it in, oh and POR 15 for the light surface rust too.
Right front wheel damage.
Right rear wheel damage
Rust that I need to repair on the right rear fender, from a shoddy repair job in the past from previous owner.
Same rust, different angle.
Took the bumper and lights off to clean and repair some light surface rust under the bumper. Also, someone didn't put on the right side bumper mount correctly, so the bumper wasn't flush with the side of the car, super easy fix.
Left rear wheel damage.
Left front wheel.
The dreaded fender rust, that I have to fix.
The set of Poly bushings I picked up from Dannyboy17.
I'm growing Mazda parts in my garage now.
Whee, rusty bumper mounts.
Stuff I had to take out to get to the bad rust.
The damage to the wheels really pisses me off, because the insurance guy was trying to weasel out of fixing the right rear one. Apparently he couldn't see that one getting damaged when she hit me. I argued with him furiously over that one, because I paid a fairly large amount of money for these wheels, which were ******* MINT when I got them. I guess a wheel shop can machine off the damage section on each wheel.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me... Again.
