If the ATF doesn't work, then...

You could do the REBUILD Yourself.

There are VIDEOS to teach you how.

You could RENT the tools for a fraction of the cost.

You may, want to PORT WITH A TEMPLATE real cheap.

You will likely be able to reuse 90% of the parts, and you will receive plenty of help here.

(IF THE FREAKIN SERVERS START WORKING! )

All in all, this options will probably cost you less than $400.

I second that half *** is half ***, id say get a job save some money, and then do it right the first time This is all elementary when you havent the funds to do it. If stock makes you happy then so be it...But NEWSFLASH its gonna cost you money! It aint gonna be cheap, nothing in this world thats worth anything is 'ever free and cheap'

THANKS YOU...Someone who understands that it IS going to be chaep...Jesus I catnbelieve no one else here could see an engine running cheap. This is basicaly what I had planned the whole time, I just needed to know where to buy a rebuild kit cheaper than the $840 that RB wants. And if I decided not to rebuild it myself, where would a good place to buy a rebuilt stock engine be?

Why would I be rebuilding it in 6 months or so? Are you saying that I'm gonna do this wrong? What do you mean you have been there? Are you saying that you rebuilt an engine that you had to rebuild again 6 months later because you did it wrong? Help me, Im really confused by what you just said...

I guess I'll have to keep posting this.
RR has good prices.
Their price $596
Our price for same parts $592 (model/year specific)
There IS NO DEFINITION of a "rebuild kit" - it can be about anything.
Be sure you are comparing same to same.

Our "kit" includes ALL parts that go on the rotors - they do not include little things like oil control rings ($203.28 for the set), and side seals ($115.44 for 86-91 set), etc.
They include bearings, we do not.
etc
Racing Beat, I believe, includes all we do + gasket set - we do gasket set seperate (fewer part numbers to maintain).

Bottom line -- you can NOT compare a "rebuild kit" to a "rebuild kit" from two different vendors !! - only the individual parts that are in them.

What I meant was you throw used stuff in there, you gonna have a used motor with a certain unknown margin of lifespan. I wasnt implying you were gonna do it wrong. Actually If I had to specify, Id say you seem quite competent. You dont act like a moron... I think you can handle it

@mazdatrix I have ordered a LOT of parts from you guys in the past and you have always been 100% on custom service and quality of parts But if I can find the same Mazda made kit elsewhere and it have more parts in it, Im gonna go there... A dollar is a dollar... And yes you are right make SURE you check to see what you want is included. Only thing I see that dont include was the side seals themselves and the oil seals on the rotors. Everything else is there...Why does it always have to be straight up retail, I never pay retail! I own my own business and never charge retail to my customers. I show them retail sell them at a discount price... I sell to more people that way and I make more money in the long run, kinda like Sam Walton and Wal-Mart, personally I hate wal-mart but you get the idea...

Heres a pic of all of it together...
