So in the future I will be wanting to paint my fb. It is currently oem japanese white, but I was thinking more of a cream colour. Anyone have suggestions or pictures of oem Mazda creamy (squash) fb's??

 

No pics but I've always wanted an FB with that Nissan white/brown pearl color.

Doesn't look like it. Dover White is an S3 color but might've been on earlier cars. It looks white on it's own but when compared to something that's really white, it almost looks tan. Here's my 85 GSL that was originally DW:



The white truck in the background is a good comparison.

I just searched on here, found a table, my car is formula white.. code is WT.. which explains the code on the thing that i found in the trunk the other day...

 

Mazda made a color called light beige (color code VG), but it was not available for model year 1982

Formula white on my car also. The dover white is a lot whiter!!! I've had my car next to a dover white rx7.

 

Here's the light beige, my first FB was that color and I always liked it, especially with the brown leather interior:



However I also like the formula white/dover white, especially with a read velor or leather interior. I had one called the White One which was a great car.

And just last Sunday I picked this one up, looks just like yours!

That's VG, Light Beige, PJ. Here's a rundown of the color codes for the 84/85 models:

-Dover White -WU
-Ocean Blue Metallic (only available for purchase in the southern and western states, special order in the northeast)-L6
-Sunrise Red-RH
-Sunbeam Silver Metallic-K3
-Custom Silver Metallic (a replacement for tornado silver metallic and more of a gunmetal type of gray)-V9
-Sparkiling Black Metallic-H1
-Tender Blue Metallic-V3
-Desert Brown Metallic-T9
-Light Beige-VG

 

Why not paint it Aurora White? It has a slightly pearlescent cream hue to it in the light.

 

I love the fb in creamy white. A classic!

 

Ok thanks ray, it was hard to tell with it being in the shade.
My 84 se is dover white and I'm pretty sure that's what someone painted my 80LS because they didn't paint the jams and it doesn't match worth a crap, I wish they hadn't even painted it. That dover white is a pretty bright white almost like white out lol. I know its a horses a@s to keep clean.

 

One Additional late 85 color:

-Royal Maroon-3A (Came with Body colored mirrors and Bronze tinted windows)

 

Yeah, my 85 is light beige VG, never really liked it. But it changes in the sunlight..
Its growing on me!
