people with 2g coils, HELP!!!!!!

well im doing a turbo II ecu swap and im having trouble because i dont know were i can mount the ignition coils, specially the trailing coil, can somebody can give me an idea were to mount the or a pic? thanks

I put them where the battery used to be.

Some people mount them on either side of the strut tower.

Are you going to swap the entire ECU over TII? If so you need to have ALL the sensors for the TII. including the MAF, and emissions equipment. Contact Steve84GS on the Mazspeed forum for details.

I suggest you go with the Haltech or other aftermarket Fuel system ECU before attempting that wiring nightmare.

i already started doing it and is fairly easy once you start doing it and have the reasorses, i already talk to steve84gs and he gave me the up and down of it and help me alot, plus most of the turbo II wiring is almost the same as the gslse so is help alot. the why im not using a haltech or other aftermarket ecu, because i dont have the money right now and i need my car. thanks

If I remember right I saw the coils mounted on the top of the rotor housings once? Maybe that was on a FD? Anyways, see if they fit up there

The smaller FD coils mount on top of the rotor housings, under the intake maifold. They also don't perform as well as the TII coils.

mounting the coils is the easy part if you search you'll find the 3 pictures I put up there when I finished my conversion last summer... If you cant find them email me.
