passed emisions! :) failed inspection :(

so i wake up early this morn to drive my car HARD as recommended...about 20 mins worth then off to the inspection station...

i'm pulling upto the inspection station about 5 bays wide...there's no line so 2 techs start waving me down like "come over here!"

i pull into one of them and all the sudden i'm surrounded by 5 techs checking out my car...

they are loving the car, "WOW IT LOOKS GOOD!" questions behind questions...1 was a previous owner...

anyways, on to the tests...
brakes - PASSED
steering - PASSED
suspension - PASSED
exhaust - FAILED (leak)
emisions - PASSED

exhaust leak failed me but that easy to get fixed...i'm just happy my emisions passed cuz thats the most expensive...

edit - btw...thanx goes to gregs81 for the cats!

I think you passed emissions because of the leak.

They won't even shove the sniffer up it's pipe with a leak here...

That's funny because here in TN I passed emmisions and inspection with the following:

1- o2 sensor absent from my header (leaking bad)
2- gigantic hole in my rb muffler ( bleew out flames and popped most of the rear out of it..ooops)
3- the guy testing it could barely keep his eyes open they were watering so bad from the exhaust fumes...ha!

I still scrapped by....gotta love livin" in the south...

I live in TN and I did not know we had emissions tests. What part of TN do they have them? Are they required once a year or what? I live in Cookeville and if I had to have emission testing I would probably fail. There are only two vehicles in my family with cats. There will be one soon, after my brother takes them off his seven.

It's all about living in a city that doesnt have Emmisions regulations.. my car is horrible for the enviroment, and theres nothing they can do about it.. hahahaha and i never have to take it through safety inspections either.. that i like.

I'm up in Northern AZ.....no emissions here.

Funny thing is, I keep buying more Rx7s from near Phoenix, where they do testing.

It would be funny bringing my car in for emissions testing though.

"Um, sir........you melted our machine."

They don't have them everywhere...I live in snobby *** Williamson county. My apartment complex asked me if i was going to get my exhaust fixed because i was disturbing the neghbors on my way in from work....It's a racing beat...it doesn't need fixing, it's just a little loud. I got headers and 2..25 all the way back. What a bunch of dumbasses...
