parts required to take apart an engine for porting

Hi all, I've never taken apart a rotary and my repair manual is in California, so here goes nothing. Do I just need to get a gasket set? Or do I have to get a full rebuilt kit to take it apart for a porting? And on that note can the springs be used again after taking the engine apart?

As you are going to port and sustantially add more power, while the engine is stripped it would be far better to do a full rebuild. The only exception would be if the engine has been rebuilt recently.

There is nothing worse than rebuilding an engine and have it fail immediately when an original part fails

I hope you have a set of porting templates and a nice Dremel tool or something similar. Good luck and do the full rebuild to be safe.

The engine was just rebuilt. So what do I need to take it apart and put it back together?
