Painting my new rims for my Big brake kit :D
Steering the car with 195 summer tires and my little MOMO steering wheel at low speed is an effort, I don't want to think about what it would be like with 215s. And then the tramlining on the highway must be a real bear with 215, although I suppose you can work with alignment to improve that somewhat.
today was a good day for my car. half done with the front respeed coilovers, respeed BB kit, respeed camber plates and tokico whites. the hub spacer thing was too small for my spindle, so i'm waiting till tmw. gonna make a brick box and use the lower oven on our lucifer... lol i don't think it would like the 1500 furnace... then tmw i guess i'll put the brakes on then i'll try out the jeep wheels
i bought the kit from re-speed. I bought hubs for 80$ for the pair, 10 press in knurl studs for 30$, new bearings all around with dust seals 120$, plus the rims and rubber. Unless you want to count the 2300$ rims that are going to be my racing/show off rims
I did clear coat them after reading the label it says to clear them 1-2 hours after painting. I'll get some pictures tomorrow morning though and how they look on the car (well sitting besides the ones that I have on there right now.

Hey perfect timing on that question, yes they fitted like a glove actually, I have about a finger and a half clearance between the springs and the rubber ... I'm getting some fresh rubber today though (195/55 15) and we'll see how that works out but should be fine. Here's some pictures:
What was the backspacing on your rims? Like I said mine were 4.5"
(RX-7 ... Because everything inbetween is trash) This is the name of this picture lol ... I think its genius

(Don't mind the guy touching the car ... he's just the crazy builder and driver
)

lol i have that exact same jacket..
it turns out that the wheels i had looked through online were different from what i had. so the backspacing was like 5.5
If i can find those explorer wheels i'll get those, if not i'll just get some z31 300zx wheels for now.

I don't know .. might be tight now with that size. I have about a fingers size between the springs and rubber now with the 195/55 ... so the 205/60 would make things even worse.
Are you using the stock lengths on the hub? I'm considering getting new ones about 1/4" longer pressed in because I don't think they're long enough for that rim. Another thing you could do though is send out the rims to maybe get them drilled a bit deeper. You don't need that much metal inbetween there. the only reason they're made like that is to take the load of a car that weighs about double ours.

I have it in stock setup right now, it should be fine for street use, but if you plan on doing alot of racing with it and what not ... should be something to look into.
