Painting my car... need input!!

I have an '81 GSl and it's sitting in primer waiting to be painted, i'm just trying 2 decide whether or not to paint the black trim on the doors and bumpers the same color as the whole car. I'm painting it red with 2 white racing stripes down the center, I was just wondering if I should just paint the trim 2 so it won't look too busy... Any comments? And if some of you have pictures could you show me some examples!? Thanks Alot!!!!

I would strip off the trim on the body and only leave it on the bumpers.

I agree, bumpers match body color and window trim should be black. You could also maybe use white to go with the stripes. That wouldnt be too bad I dont think.

Ugggg... Why not leave the stipes off? If you are going to go with stripes then leave teh molding black, and do 1 thick black stripe....

I went with stock. It prevents the car from looking 'slab-sided', IMO.
