Pacesetter anyone???

who here has used a pacesetter exhaust? any good results? i have a paceseter exhaust, header, and muffler. i've had it for eight years and only used it once. at the time i was on my first 85 GS and knew nothing about RB or all that much about modifying the 7. im on a budget and found the exhaust in the garage and thought i'd build a midpipe for it and slap it on my 85 GSL. what the heck, i have it and might as well use it. has anyone used it with decent results? im not expecting much from it. those cats are clogging and the system is full of leaks. what do you guys think?

While the Pacesetter may be at the bottom of header choices, it will suffice for a budget install and should give a few years of service.

It's certainly going to be better than the stock exhaust. If you have one laying around, I'd go ahead and use it. But if I was shopping for a new one, I would hold out for the RB system even if I had to save up for a year or so (like I did).

i have a pacesetter header, it works. no problems so far, i really dont see why so many people say they have had welds split, or other probs. its better than stock, it works, its cheap. use it.

i remember the exhaust note being raspy. i am going to use it, definatly better than stock. what a restriction, lol. i do like the rotary's exhaust note using a stock system. however, i think the pacesetter is the option i can afford(free) to pick.

Free is always a nice option. An option I wish I always had.
