Question Whats the difference: Pacesetter or Racing Beat?

What is the difference? I have a two year old muffler that will make the transition over to my new system. I'm looking at the Bonez converter system(yes it will be a street car) and what to update the header at the same time. The pacesetter is 241.00 armor coated and the RB is 198.00 straight up. What would I have to do to the header to put th O2 Sensor back in?

Thanks for the help

John

ive heard REALLY shitty things about pacesetter. i remember reading about some guy that had to completely cut apart the header because they welded it up wrong (something about it being completely backwards. ive also heard they just in general dont fit good. racing beat on the other hand, has been in the business for a LONG time, and i will tell you, when i got mine i was impressed with the quality. bolted on and fit perfectly. ive had it on for over a year, and i have nothing but good things to say about it.

RB uses heavier gauge steel, better fit and finish, equal lenght tubes, but sharp bends right out of the housing. Pacesetter, lighter steel, un equal length tubes, some finishing required for good results (the stud holes need to be opened up and the collector needs some grinding inside to it out), but has straight outlets from the housing before the turn. This is for the 12A headers. I've never messed with 13B's but I know that Pacesetters 13B header is a one piece. I am speaking as someone who has had both a pacesetter and 3 rb headers. NOT someone just regrugitating what they heard from someone else. I won my CSP championship running the pacesetter if that helps at all.

Bottom line- the rb is a better built header, but the pacesetter isint the pos everyone says it is. It just needs a little work. Oh and I wouldnt use the armor coat. I doubt itll hold up to the rotary exhaust. Go with jet hot 2000 if you want a coating.

What about the third option?
You know, the one nobody ever mentions, Mind Train.
I've never used one so I can't speak for it's durability or fit, but it sure looks like it would flow pretty well.
Has anyone used one?

Night and day...that's the difference. I had a pacesetter (monza) it leaked around the ports and made the car smell like fumes..now i only use rb...they are worth the extra $..my .02

Good results with the Mindtrain from posters on the fb email list. Built like the proverbial brick shithouse, but priced to match ($$$).

Damn you! I was gonna say that!

On a side note, can you buy Mindtrain factory direct like you can with Racing beat? They don't appear to ahve a web page, but Rotary Performance (Of Manassas, Virginia... Not Garland, Texas.) sells them.
