oxygen sensor on rx7

is there one on the 85 gsl model, cant find one in the haynes manual, but i see them listed in the victoria british catalog, has anyone had trouble with theres and should u get a code or flash on the dash panel? also, is there a way to pull codes on the gsl? not even sure where mine is,,,,,,thanks all......

Check the down-pipe, just after the header. That's where they are on SE's, but I don't think there is one on !2A engined cars. Least I don't remember seein' one...

Carburated car do not have oxygen sensors (90% of the time)
All Fuel Injected cars do. Hence the GSL-SE have them (13b)

On that 10% of carbbed cars that have o2 sensors, what the hell does it do?

If it's like the late '70s or early 80s GM qudrajets, the sensor provides input for the black box which has some control over the carburetor itself. The carb had some solenoids attached to it that the box could operate. This is all before ECUs and TBI came along. Mebbe your carb is partly computer controlled for some some obscure emisson reasons.

I dunno. Anyone know much abour a 3 barrel carb? Primary, Secondary and Aux... Honda Civic, More vacuum lines than an FD... 31 that are numbered to be exact.

dont have o2 sensor,and dont need it.they offer one for people like me who have an air/fuel ratio gauge.or for any other misc o2 powered unit.hell i blew my comp about a year ago,clipped out the fuel spark shut off relay and was back in buisness.havent had a problem yet.
