Outside front tire wear
What would you say is the problem if the outside edge of both front tires were wearing much quicker than the middle or inside edge of the tires. To me, under inflation would cause the inner and outer edges to wear the same. So is it, too much toe in or too much toe out? Any suggestions?
sounds to me like your front axle could be bent.... your alignment could be off.....or like you were talking about.....you might have to much toe in

Either toe in or camber. Since there's not much camber adjustment normally I would check the toe in or take it in and get an alignment to make sure its right.
There's no front axle to get bent, just lower control arms and they usually don't get bent out of shape symmetrically.

Definately excessive toe in. There is quite litterally no real camber adjustment and the caster cannot cause this kind of problem, to my knowledge. Have the front end aligned and you will be fine. But there is also a sligh possibility that the spindle is bent, but highly unlikely. An alignment job will correct this anyway.

I agree that it'll most likely be the toe. Both sides are toed in from what I can tell. Or you have too much positive camber. Have you changed your struts lately? Sgt maybe onto something if you have.
As both sides are wearing unevenly it has to be alignment, any damage would affect one side only, as stated an alignment to adjust toe in but check your tie rods and end links are in good shape or it'll be a waste of time.

to truly check tierods jack the front of the car in the air(both wheels off ground) and leave the steeringwheel unlocked. grab the tire and shake it side to side, but not enough to make the steering move, if the tierod is loose you'll feel it. also check for play in the idler while your at it. and if you want shake the wheel up/down to check balljoints & wheel bearings for play. hope any of this helps
Thanks for the replies folks. I will measure the toe this weekend and adjust accordingly. So I guess the theory would hold that if I was excessively wearing the inside of both tires, and camber was not suspect, I may have too much toe out. Thanks again.
