Out with my cats...

Hey guys,

Well, my Racing Beat "test pipe" arrived this morning. I now understand why they are so highly regarded. Most rollcages don't even have a wall thickness as this exhaust piece. I'm about halfway done getting this in as we speak, just waiting for some PB Blaster to work on the last two studs. My question, in the lower picture, on the left. The small plate beside the bolts. What is this supposed to cover? I got the ACV plate, as you can see, but I don't know what the small cover is for.. any suggestions? Thanks,

I'm not completely sure, but I think thats for blocking off the pipe going from your air pump to the cat

That supplies air to the cats. You don't even need that plate; just pull the hose off and cap it if you aren't going to use it.

Well, the pipe is installed... wow.. I guess my cats were plugged pretty good.. the car still isn't a blazing powerhouse but it's got a lot more snap to it.. pulls 5th gear ten times better.. definately worth the price..

RMD, thanks for the snapshots... I'll be putting those plates on and removing the rest of the rats nest as soon as my dual belt pulley gets here..
