Opps..Poured Oil Additive in Fuel tank

I've been pouring 2 oz of 2 stroke oil in the tank when I fill up this 83 rx. I must have been tired when I bought the quart of oil additive that was on the shelf next to the 2 stroke mix. Last fill up, I dumped about a half quart of oil Additive in the tank. It was so thick that it over flowed the fuel tank input tube and made the gas pump shut off early. When I pulled the gas pump nozzle out it was dripping thick honey like I pulled it out of a beehive. I feel bad for the next person who filled up with that pump. I was so distracted/disgusted by the mess in my tank and the thick oil drooling down the rear quarter panel, I did not wipe off the fuel nozzle..

I've been driving it hard to run out all that super lubed petrol. Now I can't Idle with out tapping the pedal to keep the engine going.

Does any one think this did any Harm, or once I get oily gas used up it will fix it self?

The Bright Side of this is The exhaust smoke is a pretty blue and I dont' worry about meskeetoes biting me now when I work on it. SC

It was Walmart Oil treatment . Pretty generic stuff reduce engine wear, minimize oil use, Keep engine clean, It says I can use it each oil change and between oil change.

I wonder if its is sitting at the bottom of the tank and I can drain it out with a half gallon of gas

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to fill the tank to dilute it.

The oil additive is designed to stop things up. Probably not a good idea in the fuel system.

Draining the tank and starting over is probably a good option. I'd drain it all, the additive is oil/gas soluble and therefore most likely dissolved in the tank.

Plus you can reduce blue smoke pollution in the neighborhood as a bonus.

I've done this before. No worries dude, just run it out of the tank from normal driving and don't repeat your mistake.

Filled it up a few days ago. 12 gallons . Ran eeeH. Ok... bad. stumbling konkin out. etc . This morning, wont start. I back out of the driveway using the left foot out open door to kick my way back to the street. This is tricky, if your foot slips, you ram your shin into the the bottom of the open door . I'm out the drive. Left leg muscles are burning.

Ignition ON, , gaining speed as gravity pulls me down the hill. Clutch IN.. Shift in 4th. release Clutch. Vroom Blue smoke. Off to work. still running bad. Braking the last 10 feet to lights and signs with the E-brake so I can rev the motor to keep it going.. Make it to work.

Now it is Lunch time. Starts with Key. I get halfway to No1 China restaurant. , Losing power. 5,4,3,2 I'm reving 4000 in 2nd , just to stay above 20 mph. I Konk Out out half way up a very steep hill. I roll backward down the hill. Open hood, wiggle things, look around. Nothing out of place. Get in/restart , Vroom, Rx7 runs great, better than ever. Now the idle is 1100. Ran great after lunch and later driving home... Cheers SC
