Question omp problems

i think i may have a bad omp. lately i haven't been using any oil. i usually have to add about 1qt. every 1000 miles or so but i havn't used a drop in the last 2000 miles. i have read about pre-mixing so now i put 1oz. of MMO per 1 gallon of gass. I guess my question is, should i just keep on pre-mixing, or should i get my omp working right? i think i might just keep on pre-mixing because without the omp, i have more choices of carburators to upgrade with. i don't have to buy a racingbeat carb. i can get something cheaper. let me know what you think. thanks.

Why not check to see why its not working? Its easier to have an OMP than premix. It the actuating rod connected? Are the tubes clogged maybe?
