GT35/40 setup for ~$2K new.

Check it out ATP has a T4 option. Unfortunatly it is only .82 but i bet since the housing flows more it might still be good.

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT

GT35/40 $1400
HKS Cast $250-400
HKS Standard WF $300

We could build a GT35/40 with a T4 exhaust .82 A/R for under 2K.

Wish i had the $$ to prototype a cheap kit.

Anyway figured i would at least pass on the info.

Do some research on the GT35/40 It is a dual BB turbo and the kits cost ~3500 with a 1.04? housing

It spools quicker then a T78 and makes better power on a street RX7.

I believe a 3rd gen guy on here made (was a large Street port i believe)~590RWHP@20psi with it. Full boost is ~3600rpms

And $1400 for a Dual BB turbo is not much at all.

I use the 1.06 exhaust A/R. The Gt35R (GT3540) has either the .82 or the 1.06. There is actually a guy here from PA who runs the smaller A/R for road racing and said it feels like a V8 due to the spool.

Full Boost at 3600 with a 1.06!! I had a .96 on my old 7 and could only hit 12psi at appx 4000. I guess the BB helps a lot.

This is a different turbo so it will react differently. There is really no comparison for A/Rs.

The GT35R is suppose to spool ~3600rpms with a 1.06A/R this is with a .82 so spoolup should be quicker.

And you don't have to run 20PSI daily.. i would assume most would run ~14.5psi which is probably close to 350rwhp on most setups. They guy that made tons of power was a very nice setup with a very large SP.
