OMP line configuration

I just want to confirm I have the OMP lines connected to the carb in the correct order. I have a stock 1980, 12A carburetor and OMP set up. There are two outlets on the OMP, one is on the top of the OMP slightly forward, the second is slightly behind and lower than the other. The carb has two connection nipples one in the front and one to the back on the left side of the carb. I have the top (forward) OMP line running to the rear nipple of the carb and the lower (rear) OMP line connected to the front carb nipple. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Does it really make a difference? I have the FSM and a Nikki carb manual but neither address the proper connection configuration.

The rearward nipple on the OMP goes to the rear nipple on the carb and would take the longer line.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like I have them connected backwards.

When I was looking through the FSM it gives an OMP displacement test procedure that has both lines running into a cup. It doesn't differentiate one line from the other or any comment that one would displace more than the other. Plus, both nipples on the carb feed the primary side intake so this makes me question if it really makes any difference how the lines are connected. Any thoughts?

it doesn't matter, except that one way is slightly tidier. its probably easiest to start at the carb, and then at the pump they will probably sort themselves out

Sometimes the diagrams in the parts fisch can help sort out things. Not sure you can easily get them backwards due to the length differences.
