OMP Blockoff/Removal?
well, i'm gonna run premix and not use the omp, so i just capped the lines coming off it... well, one of the caps blew off, so i guess that's not gonna work huh?
anyway, how to i block this off, as simple as bolting a plate in place of it?

Airflow is my life
You'll still have oil pressure trying to push out, so I'd use a good gasket. If I was to try this I'd remove the front cover and remove the gear and drive shaft too so it doesnt spin and rub up against the blocking plate. Just an opinion, I havent done it. Well I have removed the gear driveshaft during motor rebuild, just havent tried to block the OMP. Just wanted to clarify that.

I just did mine, pulled it off (two 10 mm bolts), and pulled the vane thingy off of it, be sure to put the aluminum bushing that the vane thing goes through back in the pump or the pump driver can't move back and forth (no idea what kinda damage that might do). You'll likely need to make a new gasket, that is nbd.. save as much of the old one as you can and cut one out from some new material - ingore poking a hole for the oil feed in the gasket. Bolt it back up, and put a loopback hose from feed to feed, use some plastic zip ties to be sure they stay on. Leave the linkage disconnected, plug the carb side holes too.
In summary, I have no idea how well this will work long term. I just did mine a few minutes ago, couldn't find any reasonable directions in a search. Save the guts in case you ever decide to go back.
