Hah, you cheap bastards. If you ever want our cars to be classic and be worth some sort of money the prices on these mint condition vehicles need to go up.
Anyway, had I the money. I would deffo put down 5k for that. It's beautiful!

The car LOOKs really good. I would consider $5k for it if it ran perfectly, but with low miles like that i would wonder how long it had been sitting. It looks perfect.

Certainly is a great looking car. I too hope it fetches a good price. Unmolested 1st gens are a bit rare these days.

That car is easily worth $5000, and the rest depends on history: Is the paint original, or is it repainted original color? Is the interior original or restored to original?
Depending on how close to original stock I would go $5000-$7000 easily.
If nothing else, think of it this way: a new RX8 or any other sports car will cost you $30,000 and can be expected to have a useful life of 100,000 miles. So, purely financially, this car, with 37k, is worth 2/3 of $30,000, or $20,000. I bought an 85GSl with 49k 2 years ago, and I can attest that it is as good as any 4 yr old car on the road: with 60k on the odo it has an easy 40k remaining, and is worth $10,000 just as transportation.
And it's a better car! With classic status right now, at 25 yrs old. It's an SA for hevvins sakes!
Anyone who rices or ghettos this car should be shot.

"Finished in the prancing red "
It's a repaint.
2...the ashtray cover is discolored.
With all that said.....nice.
I'd write a check today for it if they gave compression numbers...

the second one is too dated.
The first is worth 5 assuming there's not one scratch or ding.
and the driver side a pillar winshield trim has paint/coating missing.
The engine bay is not that impressive,
alternator is very corroded
armour all can make any bay look good, always look at the anodized parts, such as relay boxes, brake boost line, top of charcoal canisters on later models.
the condition of those parts will reflect the condition of metal on body. They should shine silvery gold, of course this is rare.
if the strut tower studs are rusted red/brown, you can surely bet the car has lots of rust all over.
This stuff help when you have to buy on pictures.

I suspected a repaint. Nice color, though not original; I suppose it's Ferrari red. Good points on engine bay, etc. These things may detract from it's classic value, but intrinsic value as a low mileage sportty car remains.
