Welcome to the forums. This topic has been covered dozens (if not hundreds) of times. There is both a FAQ (frequently asked questions) section, and a search button (located at the top of the page) which will cover both this question, and many more that you have in your head. Read through the faq, and you will learn quite a bit.
That being said. Many people buy an rx-7 and think that they should just swap in a 3 rotor. It is NOT easy. It is beyond 99% of peoples funds, mechanical ability, imagination, and innovative ability. It is just one of those things...If you have to ask, you will probably never know. Don't mean to sound rude, but you (as well as the rest of us) have a ton to learn before even considering a project of that magnitude.
Search for Hitman's "not 20b", he built a custom 3 rotor using 13b parts. That will probably be the answer to your question with the best correlation.
Again, welcome to the forum. There is a near infinite amount of information to be learned here, start reading.
