Arrow Oilpump housing to block gasket replacement...

So if anybody could help me out by giving me some tips on how to replace this gasket, and about tricky things that I'll most likely encounter that would be pretty sweet. Here's the link to my last thread asking if I needed a rebuild, it has some more information about what I'm doing: https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/12a-rebuild-746540/
I'll be adding some pics when I get into this...I'm sure I'll encounter some crappy situations haha.

Are you refering to the oil metering pump? The little weird looking thing on the hot side of the engine bolted to the front cover?

Not overly hard to replace, just make sure you are very gentle in any twisting and pulling because the lines (plastic) can crack or break entirely leaving you SOL and trying to find some new lines.

Just to clarify because in your other thread you were talking about leaking coolant. The OMP will not leak coolant. If Mazda was right (although again i wouldnt trust many mechanics mazda or not) you should be able to see oil buildup under the omp/catching on the oil pan.
