Oil Smokey!
Ouch! Coming back from Baltimore I park the car outside only to noctice oil smoke wafting out from under the hood. It was late, so when I opened the hood I could only see that the smoke was coming from the rear of the motor, sort of near the oil cooler but maybe not. No fun! I like my car!

I might not be that bad, mine does the same. It comes from the underside. Have you checked whether your oil pan leaks? I find mine leaks and it then burns on the exauhst pipes and underside of engine. But I also have a blow exauhst so I think that contributes to the smoke.

How much for that gasket? Looking at the motor in the daylight, after a nice back roads flogging, I see oil in lots of places. I knew this before but...
1. Around the Water type oil cooler lines 'n ****. This I expect.
2. All over the cross member -prolly from the oil pan.
3. On top of the number one rotor where it says Mazda there is fresh oil that seems very thin, like water got into it but it's not at all green, the motor runs like stink, and there is no smoke...
