oil pressure sender...do i need to ext..?
i went to get out a new sender unit on and once i took the old one off i relized the new one is ALOT shorter...i put the new one on but its not long enough to even catch the threads can i just add a extension onto the end of the sender???? it wouldnt fit because it was fitting somthing that was just to the top right of it.....

yes you can extend it, goto your local Parker fitting store,
if you don't have on, let me know i keep these on hand.
bare in mind that thread is a 1/8" STRAIGHT or PARALLEL thread not a typical 1/8" NPT which uses a taper.
Alot of people buy the adaptor mounts that go under the oil-filter to get places to install sending units for aftermarket gauges. ALL you need is a 1/8" parallel to 1/8" NPT adaptor.
While we are on the subject, i have sourced just about every thread-in plug/adaptor fittings for a rotary (plug for water outlet on R5 rear housings, water pumps,.. I make my own oil lines etc etc)
IF any of you like, I would be happy to post part numbers or ship you what you may need at cost to help out.
