Oil Pressure not registering.

The oil pressure gauge on the '83 isn't reading anything, not sure if it ever has read anything since i've only owned it for just over a day. Was wondering if there was a fusable link or fuse somewhere that i am missing, or possibly the sending/recieving units, or if i'm just not getting any oil pressure at all.

If any of you have any ideas, let me know.

Ok, first off let me say this, I have never seen a 12A therefore this may not apply. Look at the oil filter, guide your eyes down next to it and just behind where it screws in. You should see a connector there. If it gets loose or while changing oil you happen to knock it off you will get no reading on your oil pressure. This appllies to 13B's. I don't know if the 12A is the same or not, but it's worth a try.

12a' and 13 b are the same, in fact they use the same sender thru 92. Brianhsval is correct,
the most common thing is the connector located on the left side of engine block below the oil
filter. Rx7doctor

So that could also explain a possible "works sometimes and doesnt others" type of thing right? Connection is loose and is ok sometimes and others not.

Yes. Take a small scew driver and pry the inside of the connector out just a bit to tighten it up. Don't pry to much though.
