Oil Pan ........extra Hole???

There's the DRAIN PLUG hole.... the OIL LEVEL SENSOR 3 bolt hole.... and their's an extra one it has tread in it(Its a brand new oil pan)... next to the OIL LEVEL SENSOR... larger hole size than the drain plug.... my OLD GSL-SE oil pan didn't have this threaded hole... I've tried plugging it with a bolt, but nothing will fit.... I went to the junkyard... and not the GSL or the GS had a threaded hole next to the oil level sensor... EVEN the 2ND GENS GXL had an extra hole??? what is this???

if I remember right its a spot for an oil temprature sensor?

Its got me confused as hell though. My 12a oil pan had it, but my new GSL-SE one doesnt. And the manual says it does, and so do all fc's!

I wish I knew what the deal is with this is.

chapter 13 page 247 in the haynes manual... Their's a diagram and number 6 is it(it being the oil temp sensor)... It says that the sensor came with the RX-7's except CALIFORNIA cars... I bought the oil pan from a guy in NEW YORK... and the junk cars here are all CA cars... no wonder... I'm gonna check with the MAZDA dealer tomorrow... how much is for a block off bolt that'll fit it...
