oil mineral to synthetic

Ok, I have heard that if I convert to synthetic oil from mineral my seals will shrink and I will lose compression. Is this true? I have an 85 12a with 165000 miles on it.

Iron apex and side seals can shrink? lol No, it can make the soft seals like the oil control o-rings shrink which means your engine could start burning excessive oil.

BAH, it's completely the opposite. A true synthetic oil like amsoil will help soften the seals. For pistons its a good idea, but rotary's i'm just not going to say anything.
