Oil injector question

You guys know that little metal clip that holds the OMP lines to the injectors? How do you get them(the clips) off? I always seem to break the lines off right at the injector cause they are a little brittle, but I don't know how to get the rusty little clips off so I said Baa! break 'em off and run premix

Also, what those of you who blocked off the OMP where it attaches to the block, where did you get the plate off plate, or if you made one, how thick is it? I probably will make my own, so does 1/16" sound good?

Thanks guys

if you're speaking of the lines on the SE and other fuel injected cars, then all i do is pull the whole thing off. i believe it's a 12mm ... the whole jet assembly comes out from the rotor housing.

if you REALLY want to separate the line from the banjo fitting, then ... you've got me beat! i can't say i've ever tried to.

The oil injector lines that go from the OMP to the injector. The yellow/clear (partially opague ones) There is a little metal clip thing on the line where it attaches to the side of the injector. I broke the line off at the injector, but if they were to ever to be used again, the clip would have to be taken off so a new line could be put on. My digi cam is crap or I would take pics.

Yes, so I (or anyone else) could attach a new hose to the injector

How did you get it off without breaking it? Thats what I want to know. Since I broke mine, getting off whats left should still be similar to getting it off when the entire line is still attached.

It's really hard, but since the oil injector line is not high pressure line you can use different setup on it. The blue clip can be taken off by squezzing the blue ends that stick out together then use a flat head screwdriver and put it in front of the line and row it out, change sides with the screwdriver from the oil injector line.

It's hard getting those lines, but you can use a rubber tubing too, that's what I used. take the oil injector line circular metal fitting(the one that connects to the omp), bring it to an Auto zone and ask for a rubber tube that will fit in the metal tube, they should have rubber tubing in the back that you can purchase by foot, then use a colored tie wrap to make color coordinate and do the same thing at the oil injector end. It worked for me.
