Oil injector check valves out of spec. Big deal? What to do?

13b

So I pulled the oil injectors out, while I'm "down there", and cleaned them up a bit, and then checked the check valve function according to Page 7 of Lubrication in FSM. Two of them seem ok. Can blow through, but can't suck through, as specified. But one I can hardly blow through, and the other one I can blow through a lot more than others and can also suck through a bit.

So those two don't seem to be working right. Is that a big deal? I imagine it must be, since they're responsible for effectively spraying oil into the motor and IM, to provide lubrication.

Is there a way to clean or service them? At least the one that flows bad? Is it stuck or clogged or what? Or is it just worn?

I also looked for replacements, but couldn't find them at Victoria British or Mazdatrix site. Maybe will check with Mazda next week, though they're probably discontinued...

the 84-88 ones you can dissassemble and clean. new ones are still available, they have been updated a few times, so they look different

Are they all the same between the 84-88 models?

I'm not seeing a way to take them apart. I've unscrewed them from the injectors, but other than that there's not much else I can disassemble. What do I clean them with? They look pretty clean on the inside, obviously a bit oily, but clean. Should I soak them in...uhhh...Seafoam or something?

functionall they are the same 84-08, they updated these things in 89, and then again in 99.

theres not much to it, take it apart, clean it with brake cleaner or carb cleaner, but it together and see if that worked
