Oil Injection for a blow through

This is a question for you blow through guys... I'm running a DHLA 48 and blowing through with 10 psi (hoping for more in the future). Is it ok to run the stock omp system? Will it still work sufficiently with the turbo pressure blowing through the carb? I ask because I'm tired of pre-mixing, and I think that it is having an effect on my fuel atomization, which has caused me to foul about eight sets of new plugs this year... which is killing me at 30 bucks a set, and the fact that I'm running colder plugs for the turbo is not helping the situation.

I have always run 1 oz of Marvel Mystery per gallon of fuel. I have never had problems fouling plugs, even on turbo applications.

On the other side, I have seen Webers utilize the OMP. I think it was an IDA but it's been awhile. There are some pretty knowledgable Weber guys here. I would also search around www.mazspeed.com.

Hope this helps

Jacking my thread? I'm just glad that I'm not the only guy out there still interested in the older stuff... I'm using a T70 turbo from Turbo XS, though I wouldn't recommend one as big, if you are using a 48mm carb. In talking to Robert from rotaryshack, I was told that the biggest you can run on a 48mm carb is a T60. However, he had not heard of modulator rings either, which was an essential part of getting my system to work. One thing I would recommend if you havent done so already would be to get a couple of books on the subject. I'm sure you've heard of Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost", but I would also look into getting a book called "Turbomania" by Bob Tomlinson. The latter helped me a lot with the finicky little stuff on my Dellorto. Feel free to ask more questions if you have them, or pm me... I'm happy to help if I can.

At about 10 psi your boost pressure starts over riding your mop. You can adjust the mop to run a little on the rich side, but I would not rely on it as your only source of premix. Idemitsu is the only Rotary designed premix. 1/2 oz per gallon is all you need. http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/per...g/idemitsu.htm

That sucks, cause I'm running 10 psi now, and am planning on boosting more in the future when I feel I can safely do so. I was hoping to get away from premixing, simply because it's a pain in the butt....
