Oil Cooler need changing?

I was wondering if I really need to change oil coolers for my S5 13b n/a swap. I already read the thread in how to do the upgrade to a 2nd gen oil cooler, but Id rather have something that is bolt and play. Is a 1st gen oil cooler not as effective?

Also, if I were to keep the 1st gen oil cooler, do I need the adapters to fit the stock lines or are they fine as is?

******Ops, sorry. Just noticed I posted in the wrong section. Mods, if you mind, can you move this to the 1st gen specifics please? Thank you*********

The 79-82 front mount oil cooler is a fine oil cooler. I would use it. It has more than enough cooling capacity for an n/a street engine. The stock 1st gen lines will work fine also.
