Oil Cooler Lines

On an '82 FMOC where both hoses attach to the rear of the oil cooler on the drivers side, does the front cover oil cooler hose attach to the upper connection on the oil cooler?

Bottom for rear. Top for front cover.

Just so you know, the front cover hose is the output of the and the rear iron hose is the input. The oil cooler gets filled from the top connector.
