oil consumption....

i checked my oil after 2500 miles of constant drving and i lost half a quart. im guessing this is Awsome (it has to eat oil due to OMP correct?) and this was hot weather...

im not sure of the exact ammount they go through due to the omp,but considering they like to leak alot,that doesnt sound half bad to me,comparing with my 7's.

yeah, that sound really good. i think the omp pumps like 2-3 ounces/min.

Heat has nothing to do with the rate of injection from the omp. It is based on throttle position.

Your oil consumption is a bit on the light side. You may want to test the omp for flow rate.

32 oz to a quart.
18min = 1 quart of oil..............??
omp should pump 6cc of oil at the full position in 6 min. engine at 2k.

a good measuring device is a syringe with the needle removed, only thing i have been able to find in KS that will measure cc.
