Oil catch can help

Gentlemen, I picked up a GReddy catch can and now i'm trying to figure out how to hook it up.

On my picture there is a temporary white with red stripped hose going into the oil filler tube from the intake manifold. Should I go from the intake manifold to the catch can, then to the oil filler tube?

Or should it be hooked up another way?

Thanks guys!

i ran a line from the oil filer spout to the canister and left the other spout on the canister to atmosphere.

I ran a line to the catch can from both the filler neck and the centre plate nipple. I also put a breather filter on top of the catch can.

The purspose of a catch is to catch oil residue and relieve positive crankase pressure caused by blowby. It's more important on boosted engines.

I'm doing a boosted engine right now with no plans for a catch can. It all seems kinda ricer to me.

Catch can sorta sounds like Kechikan.

There's nothing ricer about it. Insufficient ventilation can cause pressure build up which can lead to problems like oil leaks, turbos not draining properly, moisture buildup and things like that.

The stock PCV system is often inadequate and can fail. A catch can is a more effective, reliable solution. Also, I'd rather catch the sludgy oil/water vapour then introduce it back into the intake.

Instead of introducing the crankcase vapours back into the intake through the pcv valve they accumulate in the catch can. It's pretty simple.
