On an NA car? Doesn't really do anything!

On a boosted or nitroused car, you plumb it in line with the crankcase (for lack of a better term) ventilation to keep oil from being blown back into the intake by the high combustion pressures...

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the oil going back through the combustion cycle decrease the octane of the fuel mixture? This would lead to detonation on a boosted car....

I don't have the Mazspeed version installed but I have one from some Ebay Site (Oil Catch Can) Jap Version and use to use it as a Catch Can from the OMP untill I Installed a Plate and did the 1-1 Redline 2 cycle in gas tank way.
I bought the RotaryAvaition OMP conversion this Summer and for some reason no matter where I had this Tank installed with there instuctions with the Carb Rod installed to a RB Carb and Intake for a SteetPort-Mild BP it never Pulled enough 2Cycle Oil for my liking!
Went Back to 1oz-1gal.
Now I have to figure out what to use the Catch can for. Since I do not see Turbo in the Future.
As posted above unless you have a Tubo set-up not much use for it.
(Better Looking AntiFreeze Return Bottle)???.
Just Kidding.

sgieldon - that is where my catch can is for my RA adapter and I havent noticed any issues other than my crappy catch can itself leaking a bit.
