Test your headlights and make sure they aren't burnt out. Then clean and lube the multiswicth.

I vote for a bad combination switch. On one of my cars the head lights would work but when you push it forward fot the high beams it would not work...BUT if you pull it forward to flash, it would...

Replaced the switch and everything works fine now.

A new combination switch will be $250+, which is why everyone cleans and fixes their worn units. Do the search, there was one that had the wiring diagram links right in it.

Can't be more specific, I'm at work right now.

You really need to get a Hayne's manual or print one of the .pdf files linked elsewheres in this section of the Forum for your car's wiring diagram before you ground some circuit and blow a fusible link or fuse and really get confused as to why nothing wants to work. If you don't have one or any kind of paperwork, stop what y'all are doind ASAP before you cause any damage!

if those wires are unplugged, and don't match up, they probibly dont go together. could be a connector for a non-existant option on your car, such as a rear window wiper, or washer. I remeber when i had my colum cover off there was at least 1 unplugged connection. One thing, is that cleaning your switch may not work. I cleaned the hell outta mine, only to have it not work. so i removed it from the car, opened it up, & cleaned, even sanded the contacts. Still no luck. so i bought one from a local you pull it junk yard for cheap (6 dollars if i remeber right), sprayed a bit of the electronics cleaner in it, while it was out, and put it in the car. head lights have worked ever since. so ya if this doesnt fix your problem, do try buying another swithc. make sure you check that the bulbs aren't burned out as well, dont wanna waiste your time on the wrong part. untill then, just dolnt drive at night, lol. good luck man

i replaced my fusible links under the hood with pink and yellow fuses you can easily find at pep boys, someone found out these work and there is an old thread about it...if that means anything to anyone, mine have worked fine for a long time like this now....
