oil baffle plate from LRB for under 50$
Hello all and happy holidays.
My Mazda fetish finally got the best of me again, I'm the new owner of a CX-50 turbo premium plus, what a ride! My GSLSE however has a minor oil leak, probably from the pan gasket ( am i wrong or does having the car sit CAUSE leaks?) and I have a new oil pan and also an LRB oil baffle plate to install. I have a question. Do I use (2) gaskets? (one between the block and the baffle plate and 1 between the plate and the pan?). I also have a new 3 row radiator for the GSLSE to install, any tips?, I have a fan clutch fan

Congrats! We just bought a CX-50 Hybrid Premium Plus and really like it. After 36 yrs of SCCA membership I finally used the Mazda S Plan certificate that is a member benefit.
I used two gaskets + a thin film of RTV to seal mine up. I also use a Banzai oil pan brace - https://www.banzai-racing.com/store/...pan_brace.html which seems to help. Even if you don't get the brace, I recommend the stud/nuts kit they sell instead of using he OE bolts.
